Design Challenge
We believe in the power of doing.
We want to make the most of the fact that we will have some of the brightest minds in sustainability in the same room. That is why we host an annual Design Challenge and task our attendees with engineering solutions to big environmental problems.
Each year, it’s a surprise up until the day of the event. Last year, we partnered with Parker & Scott, a local sustainable grocer, to present a challenge to students where they had to develop a livable city focused around a hand-crafted persona.
Poster Session
Every year, we have opportunities for oral presentations and a poster showcase. At ESWcon26, ten chapters highlighted seventeen projects during the Poster Session, which covered chapter projects on everything from hydroponics to upcycling gloves. Take a look at some of the 2026 projects!
